Inventory Management Xx Supply Chain Environment

With the globalization of market and economy, the management philosophy based on single enterprise can't win the competition any more. Therefore, the traditional management is changed and gradually substituted by the horizontal management model. SCM (Supply Chain Management) that based on the extended enterprise is the right typical new management model, which manages all enterprises in the supply chain properly in order to obtain the maximum benefit of the total supply chain. The appearance of SCM indicates a new development direction for the traditional inventory control. In recent years, inventory control system based on SCM shows obvious advantage in the aspects of reducing inventory cost and improving service level, which is becoming a hot issue in both research of the theory and practice of the enterprises.Currently,ⅩⅩcompany meets with a series of problems about inventory control. The traditional inventory control pattern based on a single node can't satisfy the requirement of development strategy accordingly.ⅩⅩcompany has formed the products system and deadly needs the guidance of inventory control philosophy based on SCM.This dissertation analyzesⅩⅩcompany current status of inventory and its cause, studies the theories of SCM and new inventory management mode. Then dissertation contrasts the implement condition of the new inventory management method and the present condition ofⅩⅩcompany. Author gets the conclusion: VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) is the just new inventory management method fitting the actual circumstance ofⅩⅩcompany. At the end of this dissertation, according to the sequence in Supply Chain from top to bottom, first author chooses the better vendor forⅩⅩcompany, then puts forward the concrete step of carrying out VMI. The project not only can lower the inventory level from the raw material to the finished product effectively forⅩⅩcompany, but also can promote the operation efficiencies for the other type Supply Chain.
