Scale Structure And Economic Contribution Of The Export Trade Of Agricultural Products In Zhejiang

International trade is becoming even more crucial to agricultural products in China, with the entrance to WTO and the development of economic globalization. Document No.1 of China, 2007 illuminates that it is important guarantee to the modern agriculture, implementing the produce export strategy, strengthening the management and control of the produce base, constructing a unified open market system. Since the adoption of reform and opening-up policy, Zhejiang Province has kept an upward trend in overall economics while the amount of produce export has got great increment while firstly regulated the agriculture structure in 1999.Based on the relative theories, this thesis analyzes the evolution and the present situation of Zhejiang export produce. A metrology method is adopted to compute if the produce export has facilitated to the agriculture economic growth, which includes the output, income, employment. The dissertation tries to evaluate the economic performance of the produce export strategy and prove the "Export-led Growth" (ELG) Hypothesis, which is divided into five parts as follows:Section One explains some issues, such as the background and intention, the research methods and data source, likewise the innovation and the deficiency.Section Two analyses the principles of the international trade and economic growth, focusing on some cases about the produce export trade.Section Three introduces the agricultural products export situation of Zhejiang, including the scale, status, product structure, region, business entities and trade mode, while at one time, indicates the constraints to the agricultural products export industry.Section Four expatiates a case of agricultural products export and the effect of contribution to the economy, which concludes that there is enormous potential in products export trade of Zhejiang. The export of agricultural products, which plays a facilitating role in economics, even obviously after entering WTO, granger causes the agricultural growth, and improves the level of agricultural structure. By using the method of "Input-Output Analysis", the paper concludes that agricultural products export trade will increase the output of those related departments, employ more rural surplus labor, promote the income growth.Section Five summarizes the main research conclusions and proposes some policy implications, according to the demonstrable analysis above.
