With the eastern transfer of global shipbuilding industry and the adjustment of shipbuilding industrial structure in every shipbuilding countries and areas, depending on its rich resources, low-priced labor force and fine economic growth situation, China has been the best area to carry on shipbuilding industrial transfer. China is the third largest shipbuilding country in the world, however, compares with the powers such as Korea and Japan, China is only a big but not a power one. China shipbuilding industry exists problems of low engineering level, falling behind of supporting industries, low added value of product and low economy scale. Based on the analysis of international competitiveness and industrial international competitiveness theories, this paper has built shipbuilding competitiveness index system according to the characters of shipbuilding industry and chooses Korea and Japan shipbuilding industry as contrast, calculates Chinese shipbuilding gaps of each index. At last, it finds the weaknesses of China shipbuilding industry according to gaps ranking, than analysis the gaps' causes and draws the corresponding countermeasures.This paper has 5 chapters. Introduction discusses the background, purpose, significance and method of studying Chinese shipbuilding industry competition. Chapter 1 is the rationale of this paper. This chapter expounds the development process of international competitiveness and international competitiveness research status by internal and external scholars. Concept and influencing factors of industry international competitiveness are also discussed detailed. Meanwhile, it introduces the analytical theoretical frame and evaluation index of industry international competitiveness. Chapter 2 introduces the development of global shipbuilding industry first, according to Korea-Japan develop pattern, summarizes their experiences and gets enlightenment from them. Chapter 3 firstly describes the principles of competitiveness evaluation, then studies its index system and chooses mathematic model, establishes evaluation system and introduces how to calculate the index weight by AHP and gives the competitiveness scores for China, Korea and Japan. Chapter 4 calculates the index gaps and ranks their effect degree, finds and analyses the main gaps between China andKorea-Japan. Chapter 5 points out the risks and problems that Chinashipbuilding industry are facing and the measures of how to improve its competitiveness. |
