Research On The Shipbuilding Industry Export Competitiveness And Influencing Factors In Bohai Rim

In recent years, the world shipbuilding market is developing rapidly, of which the world’s major share is gradually trending to shift from Korea, Japan to China. In the 1990s, the world’s shipbuilding industry has come into being the quadrupole pattern, which is as the representative of Japan, Korea, Europe and China. Since entering the 21st century, China enjoys the higher reputation in the international market because of the rapid development of shipbuilding industry. As one of the three bases in China’s shipbuilding industry, Bohai Sea region shows a huge industrial development and international competitiveness. In order to research the Shipbuilding Industry export competitiveness in Bohai Rim. Based on theoretical analysis framework of Michael Porter Diamond Mode, the paper analyzed the export trade competitiveness factors in Bohai Sea region by using mixed unbalanced panel Probit model. The conclusion is that the technology, corporate finance abilityand profitability in Bohai Sea region have positive effect on the export trade competitiveness. Because the Shipbuilding enterprises in Bohai have intergenerational effects, the impact of age on the ship export competitiveness of enterprises with increasing age at first and then decreased rising U-trends. The productivity has a negative correlation on the export trade due to the "productivity trap" within the enterprise of shipbuilding industry. In the end of the paper, it provides the opinions and suggestions to improve the shipbuilding industry export competitiveness within the region.
