Accelerating the transformation of economy growth mode and realizing the transformation from extensive mode to intensive mode are important instructional thoughts by CCP when making the 11th five-year plan. The key of economic grow mode transformation lies in obtaining prominent progress, establishing economic growth on the basis of enhanced human quality, effective use of resource, reduction in environment pollution, balanced quality and benefit. Textile trade, as the backbone of export trade, should further accelerate the transformation of trade growth to create conditions for its sustainable development.This paper is based on the traditional and modern trade theory. It points out the problems of present growth mode through quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis on textile export growth of China. The paper focuses on three aspects, namely enterprise, association and government and discusses the countermeasures for transformation of growth mode of textile export while shaping a high-tech, high added value and brand value, and multi-market with sustainable development.This paper is divided into five chapters. Chapter one introduces the related traditional and modern theories of textile trade. Chapter two studies the present situation of textile export, analyzes the export role and the challenges it faces. Chapter three focuses on quantitative and qualitative analysis on textile export growth, including trade pattern, material process, enterprises ownership and market structure. It points out the existing problems in growth mode: low ability of independent innovation and research, low ability of global marketing, lack of self-oriented brand and simple market structure. Chapter four gives quantitative forecast to textile export growth of China through ARIMA model. Chapter five discuses the countermeasures for transformation of textile export growth mode. The enterprises should adopt a going-out strategy, actively expanding marketing channels, improving global marketing ability, accelerating independent innovation and establishing self-oriented brand. The associations should establish an efficient pre-warning system and strengthen the supervision system. The government should establish encouraging policies and measures and an international standard system.
