Knowledge Value Chain Research

With the further theory study of knowledge management and value chain management, more enterprises paid much attention to them and applied them to the practice of manufacture and management. However, the separate management of knowledge and value chain can not cultivate and enhance the core competence of the enterprises. So the effective solution should be the integration of both factors and the implement of knowledge value chain management.Based on the theory integration of knowledge management, value chain management and core competence, the dissertation presents the significant benefits of knowledge value chain management on core competence cultivation and enhancement with the reference of the current related studies. Taking automobile manufacturing as a research example, its value activities and knowledge activities are analyzed. Then the automobile manufacturing knowledge value chain model is established. Finally, the management content and management strategy are proposed.The research contents and creative points are as follows:Firstly, the problems and disadvantages of the separate management of knowledge and value chain for core competence cultivation and enhancement are introduced. The significance and influence principle of knowledge value chain management for core competence construction of enterprises are presented in details.Secondly, according to the business characteristics and business procedures of automobile manufacturing, the automobile manufacturing is confirmed to be a knowledge-technology intensive industry. The core business, business chain value realization, transformation ways and core competence sources are analyzed.Thirdly, taking D automobile enterprise as a typical example, the knowledge activities of its business procedure are analyzed. Based on the results of analysis, a model of knowledge value chain for technology-knowledge intensive industry is built.Fourthly, according to the characteristics of technology-intensive industries and knowledge-intensive industries, the above research example is used to make a comprehensive analysis of the knowledge value chain management content and management strategy for automobile enterprises in terms of the influence factors of knowledge value.
