Study Of The Development Of Exhibition Economy In Shaanxi Province

Convention activities, a display of goods, trade as well as economic and technological exchanges in one, in fact, act as the role of the publicist, explorer and pioneer in the process of expanding the trade and market as well as shaping the image. With the further deepened development of the globalization of the world economy, Exhibition Economy has emerged. Exhibition Economy is an economic form that is more comprehensive more relevant and more profitable after a nation or a region has got a gradually mature and perfect development in the service industry. Using the conferences, exhibitions and other convention activities as the carrier, it, directly or indirectly produced, includes the summation of the tangible or intangible economic phenomena and economic activities. Exhibition Economy puts Exhibition Industry as the core and radiates the fields of aviation, tourism, commerce, construction, transportation, catering, advertising, communications, and so on. The holding of convention activities can link a series of industries together activities so as to form a huge industrial chain, the linkage effects of which will undoubtedly arouse the widespread concern of every country and every region in the world.Although Shaanxi Provincial Exhibition Economy has made tremendous progress, yet there still exists a big gap and quite a few of issues requiring urgent solution when compared with either the well-known international exhibition city or other similar cities at home. Shaanxi Province, as the leading province of the China's Western Region Development, whose economic development is of great significance to the implementation of China's Western Region Development. Therefore, the significance of this paper lies in that the author, through studying the development of Exhibition Economy of Shaanxi Province, tries to find a method that can accelerate the development of Exhibition Economy of Shaanxi Province, which will give full play to mutual effect between the Exhibition Economy in Shaanxi Province and other related industries so as to enhance the regional competitiveness of Shaanxi economy and accelerate the pace of economic development in Shaanxi Province.This paper is the integration of theory and empirical research. The content of the paper includes the study of the developing situation of the Exhibition Economy in Shaanxi Province and the relations between the exhibition industry and the industries of catering, tourism, transport, and so on. The second part of this paper is theoretical part in which the author presents the theoretical foundation, including the definition of the concept of Exhibition Economy, the theoretical support system of Exhibition Economic development, as well as the multiplier effect and the theory of accelerating principle. Besides, the author also has some summaries of related research home and abroad in this part. The fourth part of this paper is the empirical part. Under the guidance of the grey theory, this paper has calculated the correlation coefficient of correlation between exhibition economy and the industries of tourism catering, and so on. What's more, the author has ordered the size of the correlation: the exhibition economic development has the largest association with tourism industry, followed by retail trade, international tourism, passenger traffic, food service, Post and Telecommunications industry, and aviation passenger traffic. Therefore, the development of the Exhibition Economy has the largest pulling effect on the tourism industry, followed by the retail trade, international tourism, and so on. At the same time, the development of tourism can promote the development of the Exhibition Economy to the maximum extent. On the basis of the study, this paper will try to find the best developing pattern adapting to the development of Exhibition Economy of Shaanxi Province from the strategic approach.The paper comes to the conclusion that the growth of Exhibition Economy can stimulate the growth of related industries; verse visa. The relationship between the two is mutually reinforcing.
