Study Of The Relationship Between China's Regional Economic Development And Information Technology

As quick development of information technology and information industry, the"information time"has been quietly approaching. Informatization has now become an important driving force to promote Chinese economic and social development, which is of great significance for regional economic development. At this stage, Chinese regional economic disparities huge, so we need to maintain the good situation of developed areas and play the advantage of undeveloped areas through using information technology. We should stimulate industrialization by informatization and make Chinese three major regions develop with balance and coordination.In view of this, the study on interaction between information technology and regional economy is particularly important. Based on the latest research all over the world, this thesis deeply introduces the concept of informatization and regional economy, analyzes the relationship between them. Then, this thesis cites different systems of informatization indicators at home and abroad, and selects a most scientific and timely indicator system as the basis of quantitative analysis. With regarding to economic indicators system, this thesis uses qualitative and quantitative methods, and establishes two systems of economic indicators, which are joined with informatization indicator system into two kinds of composite indicator system for quantitative analysis and comparison about East, Middle, and West region.In quantitative analysis, this thesis analyzes the effect of informatization in improving economic total amount and structure, the function of economic environment to informatization, the correlation of informatization and economic sub-indictor, and explains the analyzing result. At the same time, this thesis chooses one information and regional economic composite indicator system from two systems. Finally, this thesis raises policy proposals and academic recommendations according to regional information and regional economic development strategy.The main innovations of this thesis are: (1) This thesis raises a new evaluation system based on the concept of the integration of information and regional economy by changing existing informatization system; (2) This thesis breakthroughs the traditional method of qualitative research, uses quantitative analysis and scientific methods to analyze and compare Chinese different regions'informatization and economy, which compensates the shortage because of lacking data. (3) This thesis also analyzes the effect of economic environment to the development of informatization and raises "moderate development" principle of informatization. These points supply a new idea for development of Chinese regional economy and regional informatization.
