Studies On Coordinated Development Between Comprehensive Transportation System And City Economy System

City comprehensive transportation and the economy interconnect and influence each other, so the only way of ensuring a healthy development of them is to dive them to reach the status of coordination. But practically, it is very commonly seen that the two systems are not working coordinately so well, which is shown as one system is in a state of out-of-order development. Focusing on the week points of current city transportation and economy development research, using both qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis methods, the paper makes an explorative research on the development of coordination of city comprehensive transportation and economy system.First of all, this paper clarifies the connotation of coordination development which starts from the application of the analysis of system theory and coordination theory in coordination development. and the structure, characteristic, interaction of city comprehensive transportation and economy system are analyzed. Then the inner character and coordination principle of city traffic and economy system is present. Specifically, the modeling procedure includes 4 steps. Firstly, the descriptive index architecture of city traffic and economy system is built; Secondly, the principal component analysis is adopted to extract the sequential variables of city comprehensive transportation system and economy system; Thirdly, based on the values of the sequential variables from the principal component analysis, the coordination degree is obtained; Last, the relationship between the influencing factors and coordination degree is done through correlation analysis. In the last part, taking Beijing for example, the paper analyzed the economy and comprehensive transportation situations of the city based on data of transportation and economy development between 1998 and 2007, an assessment of the coordination degree is carried out. Also the coordination degree and modified coordination degree of each year are calculated. The result shows, the transportation and economy have both enjoy a sustained development and the structures are constantly being improved, both of them are heading the right direction, the coordination degree of the two is being continuously enhanced; The related analysis hints that the GDP and tertiary industry output value are most correlative with the coordination degree. Railway operation length is the most irrelevant with the system coordination degree. This conclusion can be seen as a reference for making development strategy.
