Western Management Theory, Philosophy Of View Of Human Nature

Management is essentially the management of people, thus the cognition about humanity is indispensable. The specific view of humanity is the logical origination and core problem of constructing the management theory. With the deepening of the cognition of humanity, the management theory and the management practice are advanced. The views of humanity of western management science in the history are positive for the management theory and the management practice without question. But to think at a philosophical height, insurmountable theoretical limitations can be found—the unilateral, abstract, static, and materialized understanding of humanity. To begin with, the views of humanity of western management science were reviewed historically in the thesis. Then, the philosophical thinking was used to analyze the views of humanity in western management theory, and the theory localizations were pointed out. Finally, by using Marx's prolific view of humanity, we can conquer their limitations in constructing the view of humanity of totality in management theory, fully and completely understanding humanity, and implementing genuine humanity for the management theory and the management practice.
