More and more multinational companies set up their mass production center beyond their research and development center for manufacturing and product cost reduction together with product time to newly-developed marked in Eastern Asia and Pacific area under the globalizing economic developing. Facing the furious competitions within consumer electronics market, new product developing and new product introduction are becoming to be the critical point for a company to lead to success. New product launch and introduction management based on mass production center are the key concerns within this essay.In this thesis, the New Product Introduction management mode been analyzed based on the Seagate Technology International (A HDD Design/Research/ Manufacturing Company). Time management and Cost management and Communication management within the NPI product management were deeply investigated as well and the creative practice points were put in place.The main results are as follows:1. The effects of time management in the NPI management system are investigated in detail based on the project management (time management) and product life cycle management theories. Meanwhile, the optimized mode was created.2. The effects of cost and quality management in the NPI management are studied in detail and the relative mechanisms are discussed. Such as: DFC (design for cost) and DFQ (design for quality).3. The optimized NPI project management model based on the core team (Seagate) plus company engineering team were studied as well as to reduce the communication complexity. So as the OEE (overall effectiveness and efficiency) of NPI project management had been improved.
