With the rapid development of national economy, there are more and more demands on quality stainless steels in city construction and people's life. Meanwhile, the domestic production capacity of stainless steel is increasing sharply. Competition has been intensified among steel plants. Under the following circumstances: flourish of supply and demand, intensive competition, disordered circulation, inefficient marketing environment, Shanghai Baosteel Stainless Steel Distribution & Processing Co. Ltd., as an exclusively marketing company for Baosteel stainless steel ,has taken the mission to establish the most competitive marketing platform for stainless steels. Therefore, it must utilize advanced theory, refer to advanced experience to make it the most competitive in establishing and operating the marketing channels.Having analyzed the current marketing channels and market demands of Baosteel stainless steel, referred to successful experience and advanced circulation mode and ideas of other enterprises, considered the characteristics of stainless steel industry, the author has put forward his opinions and suggestions in practice. To explore an advanced, scientific channel mode which is suitable for marketing and consumption of stainless steels and accordant with market development trend, the author is intending to make innovation of the current marketing channel mode of Baosteel common materials. Therefore, it will make Baosteel take advantages of cost, efficiency, information, control, coverage, developing speed in the more and more intensified stainless steel industry as well as make Baosteel realize its social responsibility to standardize the transaction of stainless steels at domestic market.Having firstly introduced the marketing ideas for Baosteel stainless steel, the current status and existing problems of agent marketing channel, then referred to relevant theory and knowledge of agent system, the author makes a proposal for how to make the existing agent sales method perfect. The key part of this article is the utilization of licensed chain marketing mode in the stainless steels. This part has introduced the conception and theory of licensed chain marketing mode, its suitability for marketing the stainless steels. Furthermore, the author has presented his ideas and suggestions for the implementation of the licensed mode in marketing stainless steels.As the licensed chain marketing is an innovation for Baosteel marketing system as well as famous industrial brands, the original enterprise culture, management tools and organization structure shall be adjusted and reformed accordingly to make the licensed mode successfully applied into the marketing system for Baosteel stainless steels.
