Manufacturing Clusters In Zhejiang Province In The Evolution Of Dynamic Factors Research

As an effective mode to drive economy develops, industrial cluster is appreciated by the government and the firms. Now, industrial cluster is not only a basic space frame of the world economic, but also an origin of competitive power of the country or the zone. The existing studies focus mainly on the concept and actualities of industrial cluster as well as the effects it has on FDI inflow, producing efficiency, industrial competitiveness, etc. There are few people who studied the factors that influence the industrial cluster itself, especially from the econometrics' perspective. In order to rich the existing studies, the article focuses on the manufacturing cluster in Zhejiang Province, based on the stage feature shown by existing industrial clusters, tries to establish a theoretical frame to analyze motive forces and their mutual relation in the evolution process of industrial cluster.The article divides the development process of industrial clusters into three stages: pregnant, growing-up, ripping, in term of qualitative change and quantitative change of industrial clusters, then analyzes manufacturing clusters' concentration of Zhejiang Province with quantitative methods and summarizes characteristics of every stage. The key of research is motive factors in the evolution process of industrial clusters. The article separates these factors into two kinds, that is motive force of form and motive force of development. The former includes culture and traditional industry, specialty market, low cost advantage, systematic innovation, marketing network and acquaintance society. It extends breadth of industrial agglomeration area in manner of its expressional exterior scale economy and scope economy, then enlarges industrial agglomeration area. The latter is consisted of clusters, innovation network, local government behavior, mechanism of competition and cooperation, entrepreneur spirit and entrenchment. It accumulates social capital advantage, deepens and subdivides industrial division, expands industrial clusters' depth. The article establishes circular system to analyze their reciprocity and emphasizes that their functionary time is not determinate. Some may be long, but some may be short. Based on the circular system, the article constructs assessment index system to evaluate influence of clusters' motive, then uses entropy method and principal component analysis method to mensurate three indexes synthetically, namely economical development index, social development index and environment index. Comparing the two results, it is concluded that social development index' contribution to clusters in Zhejiang Province is most. Therefore, in order to accelerate manufacturing clusters' developmental pace, Zhejiang Province should pay more attention to improve social developmental level.
