Energy plays an important role in human survival, and it is also the economic lifeline of a country. As the world's largest developing country,China has a vast land and rich resources, and in 2010 it became the world's largest energy consumer.Since the founding of New China,as the pace of industrialization and urbanization in China has gradually accelerated, the energy required for economic development has also continued to increase. In the past development, the large consumption of natural energy is a major reason for the "extensive" growth form presented by our economy. However, various problems such as the imbalance of energy production and consumption, and the imbalance of energy consumption among regions will restrict the development of China's economy and the promotion of its international status.Based on the consumption data of 11 major energy sources provided by China Energy Statistical Yearbook 2018,this article uses R software to analyze the energy consumption of various provinces in China in detail. The specific research results are as follows:First, the 11 main energy sources in China are classified into four types: coal energy, oil energy, gas energy, and electric energy according to energy types, and observe the differences between different types of energy consumption in various regions of China. The study found that there are obvious differences between the four energy sources in different regions of China.Overall, the energy consumption in the eastern region is relatively high, while the energy consumption in the western region is relatively low.Secondly, using the entropy weight method, principal component analysis method and new method based on the improvement of the two weights, the impact of different types of energy on China's total energy consumption was analyzed, and on this basis, calculate the comprehensive scores of energy consumption in various regions of China, using the ranking result of the comprehensive score and the ranking result obtained by "sequence number theory" to conduct Spearman correlation test, and then the new method improved in this paper was verified to be more superior. Finally, combined with the k-means algorithm, the comprehensive score obtained by the optimal evaluation method is analyzed by spectral clustering, and China's energy consumption is divided into three energy consumption levels: high consumption, medium consumption and low consumption.
