Xinjiang is China's largest cotton-producing provinces and autonomous regions, and cotton is also an irreplaceable economic crops in Xinjiang. U.S. cotton has been a rival of China's cotton, cotton by comparison with the United States can find its merits and ours deficiencies, which can be for the upgrading of cotton in Xinjiang and China's competitiveness make a recommendation.In the process of comparison, the paper chose the heat region in the United States according to all aspects similar to Xinjiang. Through price, yield, cost, revenue history, found that in 2000-2003, per mu of cotton in Xinjiang in recent years lower than the cost of the heart region in the United States, and in 2004, 2005 yuan per mu of cotton in Xinjiang costs rising rapidly, in 2005 than in the United States over 255.86 yuan.The reason that human capital movements on changes in the cost of cotton production in Xinjiang's cotton has great impact, variance contribution rate of 21.32 percent. Xinjiang's cotton income per 50 kg and per mu have increased in 2004 year and 2005 year, while the United States proceeds in the heart region of cotton fell. If we can control the rising cost of the Xinjiang cotton market competitiveness will be stronger. Subsequently, the paper has been done a benefit analysis on the Xingjiang cotton picking by machine and by hands. To some extent ,the promotion of technology can save cotton production of human capital.
