To demand side, Policies with industry market, technology and trade in high energy-consuming industry have tremendous influence to their electric power demand.As one of the main energy supplier in XX province, provincial electric power company's task in energy saving and emission reduction is very arduous. Using XX Electric Power Corporation and its market environment as object of research, This paper has the primary study on strategic orientation and transformation of XX Electric Power Corporation in the background of energy saving an emission reduction policy. Development of electric power industry has consanguineous relation with economy. As beginning, firstly, this paper analyzes the development of economy and electric power industry in both whole nation and XX province. Secondly, energy saving and emission reduction policy's impact on electricity market of XX province is studied from many profiles such as technology and market environment and effect level. And then, the paper discusses the problems which XX Electric Power Corporation will face to in the future carefully, and compares traditional stratagem and its transformation under energy saving and emission reduction policy.
