Informationization construction is a complex systems engineering. As the most widely-used and effective business management through the world, ERP has drawn attention from many enterprises, especially those medium and small ones. For those medium and small enterprises, which constitute the most important part of our economy, have realized the deficiency of original management patters and made great effort to seek for an approach to optimizing it. The effective measure is to be computerized and introduce the advanced ERP Systems.This article discusses how to introduce ERP into these medium and small enterprises accurately, firmly and economically in order that they would develop effectively and be involved actively in market competition by constructing ERP Systems in Lianyungang Tianyuan Food Ltd. Corporation. This article has four chapters: Chapter One elucidates the background and study condition of ERP as well as the main contents and structure of this article. Chapter Two mainly introduces ERP's history, functions, characteristics, applications and development trend. Chapter Three analyzes the Corporation's development, business condition, the demands for ERP and implementary goals. Chapter Four deals with How the Corporation aims at constructing ERP Systems according to its own characteristics, including its building principles, total structure, plane design and function design of its subsystems. This paper emphasizes the practical application of ERP in managing physical distribution, finance, production, quality and also the benefits after implementing ERP Systems. The writer expects that this investigation may have certain reference values for medium and small enterprises, esp. meat processing factories, if they introduce ERP Systems.
