Along with the economic development and the open policy of various trades, foreign trade is, unprecedentedly, developing more rapidly and competitively. Type of small and medium circulation foreign trade enterprises have their own characteristics, and it is essential for them (HN as a representative) to grasp the advanced information technology to improve the enterprise management and thus meet the challenge of fierce competition. Since there are a lot of small and medium foreign trade businesses, it is of far-reaching significance to study the management information system integration in HN.This thesis begins review with the history of management information system and ERP, and then sums up their development, focusing on the application of ERP in the foreign businesses.Take HN company as an example. After a brief analysis of its structure and business flow, a new system integration framework is established based on business process reengineering, and a module design of its main process is also put forward. In addition, to make the structure of the system more perfect, this thesis suggests a few ways to design this system, including the important management control.As the application of the system is a complex project, this thesis then explains in detail its whole process, and discusses the ways to promote its success.Finally, possible risks are also pointed out so that they can be avoided, its efficiency can be improved, and smooth transfer from the old to new system can be achieved.The major features of the thesis are as follows: while analyzing the modules, the inner flows of each function module are designed, the relationships between them are stressed, and the financial receipt conditions for each business flow are illustrated, so that the distinction between business and finance are clarified, and supervision of respective duty and right is stressed. Then, this thesis draws a conclusion that only by sharing data, guaranteeing the data to be updated, clear, accurate, and of the same resource via system control can the supervisory functions of system integration be fully played. Based on the characteristics of small and medium enterprises, the thesis suggests solving the chief problems first through partial integration, then expanding gradually its range of application.Business and finance system integration is the most essential thing for the small and medium enterprises, and it is the very core subject of the thesis.
