As the Central Bank, People's Bank of China, plays a positive role in promoting the healthy, harmonious and sustainable development of economics and society in China. However, currently, People's Bank still face challenges and problems, which may negatively affect the construction of a harmonious society. In order to further strengthen the financial reform and opening-up, perfect financial system construction, maintain financial stability and achieve the goal of raising financial service level, People's Bank must put more efforts in improving organizational constitution, enhancing staff quality and promoting work efficiency. All these works are based on a scientific approach of position design, which carries out the principle of "people-oriented management" on the work position, work task and work demand combined with employees. In this way we will realize the objectives that people can fully develop oneself on the suitable position and meet the needs of both the work and the employees.Currently, the theoretical research on position design of enterprise units has fairly advanced and already gets wide application in practice. Whereas, government offices and public institution such as the People's bank, as a result of the unit's nature particularity, the practice of position design is still under exploration. This article utilizes theories and methods of job analysis and position design, analyzes the objective questions existing in the position design aspect at one center sub-branch of People's Bank of China, and proposes feasible suggestions on how to implement the re-design of position at this center sub-branch.
