Mobile Agent Technology In E-commerce

With the quick development of Internet & WWW technology, people attach more importance to E-Commerce based on Internet. However, when confronting with abundant information, the traditional E-Commerce has disadvantages of less efficiency and wasting the net bandwidth resources. Applying mobile agent technology to E-Commerce can solve the problems occurred during the development of E-Commerce and provide series of characteristics service.The essay analyses the conditions of global E-Commerce and the problems appeared in E-Commerce system, and discusses the feasibility & advantages of applying mobile agent technology to E-Commerce. It systematically introduces the mobile agent technology and the agent supported by Java, the content of IBM Aglet platform is in details. It proposes the design goal, system disposition, structure and system working procedures based on the research, designs the system by the way of facing the object, and brings forward the data design and system safety project as well. Research has been proved to be scientific and pragmatic by using IBM Aglet platform and explored MA-EC system based on mobile agent technology.
