| Together with the continuous economy development, more and more international events swarm into China. Many international companies are striving to utilize these events to promote their recognitions in China and even in Asia. However, there are only a few leading local companies realizing the influence power of these events and gradually participating in the events management. Meanwhile, comparing to the development of the international researches on events management, the researches in China are only at the beginning stage.This paper begins with the researches and the practices of international and local events management, analyzing the definition, characters and the categories of events management, designing the 'events management procedure' and the '6S EVENTS model', then applying the model to a real case. This paper also forwards many sound suggestions on how Chinese companies could utilize the events which will help local companies take advantage of events to obtain the success.Compare with other researches, this paper stands out with the following three innovations:1. This paper systematically analyzes the definition, categories and the characters of events and basing on these analyses, creates the '6SEVENS model', which points out the six key factors as well as the relationship among these 6 factors.2. Basing on other related theories, such as management, marketing and public relations, as well as a great number of events practices, this paper designs the 'events management flow chart', which points out the events management procedure and the key focus at each stage.3. This paper segments the events' stakeholders into three categories: the host of the events, the sponsor of the events, and the ambush of the events, meanwhile, points out how they could manage the events for each category. |
