The intention of the project management is to schedule, organize and control all activities to achieve the project goal eventually. No matter how difficult it is and what kind risks are there. Project management has become into one of new senior and professional management branches, which does not follow the conventional management steps. It is playing an important role in the economic life and social economics, which contributes lots to the development of the enterprise and public organization. This thesis introduces the project management of the Vehicle components makers via AUTO Company, and analysis what are key successful factors to the project management. Finally point out the major portions of the project management for the project managers' reference.Firstly this thesis explains the conception, characteristic, categories of the project management and some professional terms. Then describe the internal situation and external circumstance of AUTO Company. AUTO Company deprived from a vehicle maker with 100 years more history. Both technical competence and company process are very competitive in same product line. With competition increased dramatically in the current market, the requests of the timing, cost and quality becoming much stricter day by day. To keep the market share, specialization and platform become popular. No. 3 and 4 charts describe AUTO company project management. perfect project process and good project control are major measures to achieve the success of the project management. Extract the major factors which impact the project management. Then define the key success factors by analysis. "timing" , " cost" and "quality" construct a " magic triangular" . At same time, introduce the project management key success factor theories from UK professor and American professor, "person" this factor is introduced into "magic triangular" , then we get a "magic pyramid" model. Chart 5 analyses the relationship between the "person" and "magic triangular" . Then do the analysis of the internal relationship among the "magic triangular" . Finally explores the contribution to the company performance that key success factors could do and how to control these key success factors. This thesis use "earn value" as an example to explain how to achieve a good project procedure control. The projects this thesis studied are special for vehicle components and its major portion is design and multiple validations. Usually design and validation take 2 to 4 years, which are finalized by the complexity of the project. Here the production after design froze refers to mass production with specific warranty. Due to the vehicle components have lots of special characteristics which make the project special as well. Thesis analyzed these special characteristics and proved out the project key success factors for AUTO company project management. This thesis introduced a "magic pyramid" model, emphasizes that the "person" is an important factor to the project management. Professional "managers" , skillful project team is a key factor to control the "timing" , "cost" and "quality" to the best status.
