China has become the third largest automobile manufacture country since 2007; however, Chinese automobile components industry is under big pressure, especially for automobile key components industry. The domestic key components market has been controlled more than 90% by powerful multinational automobile components companies. Domestic automobile parts companies didn't improve the low level status because of organization, enterprise scale and philosophy. Confronted with such powerful competitors, indigenous components companies have been dropped to dangerous situation, because they might bankrupt at any time if they couldn't be improved.This article discusses the theory of growth strategy based on resource and competition theory of Porter. Firstly, PESTEL and internal resource&capability of domestic automobile components enterprises are analyzed. Secondly, based on discussion of SWOT, optional growth strategies are pointed out and concrete implementation steps are also brought out. Then, the growth strategy feasibility is analyzed via a representative domestic automobile key components enterprise-Asia-pacific Mechanical & Electrical Co.,Ltd. Finally, the paper put forward reasonable national automobile policy suggestions considering disadvantage of domestic firms.The external and internal analysis of Chinese automobile key components enterprises will help them to realize themselves and find their own positions in the fierce competitive market. Another key point this paper puts forward is the realistic growth strategy and concrete measues for the strategy implemention based on SWOT analysis and example analysis, the idea will be very helpful to the growth of the Chinese demostic automobile components enterprises. The paper should be improved at data model verification of the proposed growth strategy which need more automobile industry investigation and theory implementation.
