In 2007, in the《fortune》magazine's annual list of the world top 500 companies there are 22 mainland Chinese firms entered them. All of them are state-owned or state-controlled businesses. The state-owned or state-controlled (Both of them will be briefly called state-owned company in this thesis) companies are the backbone of Chinese economy. Its development and grandness vitally affect the Chinese economy, the improvement the life standard of Chinese people and the construction of Chinese harmonious society. With the reform of China's economic structure development, the state-owned companies were given the higher requirement by the market. It's very necessary to research and develop the HRM to support China state-owned companies' development. The traditional salary system can't sustain the development of the state-owned any more. How can the Chinese state-owned companies make a further development? How can the state-owned companies make a break through in the salary system? This article particular expatiate the theory of broad banding salary and based on China state-owned companies' HRM experience foundation, proposed China state-owned companies inducts the countermeasure of broad banding salary. Based on the experience of ChongQing CA group, analysis the weakness and insufficiency, proposed the salary frame. Through the research, has yielded three main ideas about the broad banding salary theory.First, Deepened to the understanding of the salary theory, especially broad banding salary theory. From all the conceptual analysis, the background analysis, the design flow, the limited analysis, as well as the practice of China automobile and auto parts manufactory industry, I do have a thorough understanding to the salary theory also the broad banding salary theory.Second, the thesis not only expatiate the salary theory and banding salary theory, but also combine with the characters of China state-owned companies. Meanwhile particularly expound the operating process and designing method based on a example of ChongQing CA group. It's providing a valuable practical experience to how the state-owned companies use the broadband salary theory.Third, another useful reference point to the China state-owned companies' salary design is using the survey of employee satisfaction to help the salary design. From the survey we can know the key factors of the Employee Satisfaction. It has guidance and practical value to the ChongQing CA group' s salary design. Pay attention to the integration between theory and practical, qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis.
