Purchase, acting as the liaison between suppliers and market, can always help to improve products and services to customers. Increased globalization leaves a deep remark on retail business. USA large retail chains have been accelerating their direct import in China to gain the cost benefit and react to buying patterns of competitors. Meanwhile, owing to the current critical economy environment that originated from US finance crisis, both US retail stores and China exports could find their mutual interests in enhancing the direct import business by playing a more proactive role by US retails' global sourcing offices in China. The purpose for this study is to provide a preliminary research on the China global sourcing office operation models of US large retail chain and hopefully could provide guidance and helpful guidance to those China exporters who is striving for enlarge their export business to US market and enhance their competency.
