Foreign Direct Investment Location Empirical Study,

Since the implementation of the policy of reform and opening up to the outside world, especially since entering the WTO, the developing pace of foreign direct investment in China is very high, foreign direct investment increased steadily, but, because of China's reform and opening-up policy is being implemented gradually in all regions and all areas, moreover, owing to the conditions such as geographical location, resources, environmental factors owned by each area is differently, the foreign direct investment of China in the region showing a significant imbalance. With the promotion of preferential policies on foreign direct investment in those areas, the policy is becoming less attractive than before. The investment of foreigners showing a trend developing to the region which has a better infrastructure, a perfect market operating mechanism, a high level of urbanization and a remarkable agglomeration effect.In order to explain such a situation and study impact factors of FDI location distribution in the new period,this paper is undoubtedly of great theoretical and practical significance. based on the above understanding,mainly combining with Dunning's advantage theory, this paper study our country's regional distribution of Foreign Direct Investment as the objects of 30 provinces and cities in our country (except in Tibet) , and make use of qualitative and quantitative analysis methods to study FDI location choice factor in the national, the eastern region, western region and the central area.Empirical results show that Foreign Direct Investment tends to flow into the regions with large scale economies, high level of urbanization, pefect infrastructure facilities, low labor costs, improve market development and high area concentration. Foreign Direct Investment with weak competitiveness prefers to low-cost labor, preferential policies and higher concentration. But preferential policies for Foreign Direct Investment weakened the influence . according to the results of the analysis,this paper put forward to some corresponding strategies to attract Foreign Direct Investment , in order to provide some reference to attract Foreign Direct Investment for all regions of our country.
