After World War II, along with the confrontation between USA and Soviet Union, there were two camps– socialism camps headed by Soviet Union and capitalism camps headed by USA among the international community. USA persisted on hostile attitude to China and restricted contacts between Japan and China, to restrict communism. There were some persons in Japan who were anti-china and insisted on establishing diplomatic relations with Taiwan. So, from the founding of The People's Republic of China to 1972, there was no formal diplomatic relations and steady commercial intercourse. The People's Republic of China's government proposed"folk go in advance to others, to promote government with folk", to develop China-Japan relations. They promoted intergovernmental relations by depending on commercial intercourse. Before establishing diplomatic relations between China and Japan, there were four times non-government trade, Sino-Japanese cooperative fishing, trade-friendly,"LT"trade, and so on."LT"trade which lasted 11 years affected Sino-Japanese relations profoundly. It is named"semi-official"trade, and then Sino-Japanese relations became"semi- official"relations."LT"trade's implementation promoted to develop Sino-Japanese relations powerfully.This article analyzes mainly"LT"trade's creation, content, implementation and influence. The article is divided into four parts. The first part is looking back China's and Japan's foreign policy and Sino-Japanese folk association; the second part is expounding"LT"trade's formation, main content and implementation outcome. Third part is analyzing"LT"trade's development and its effect on Sino-Japanese relations. The fourth part is"LT"trade's significance and enlightenment.
