| Outbound tourism has been part of people's life recently. The trend of continual increasing appears in the market of Chinese outbound tourism. In the good situation of market environment, the numbers of Shanghai residents who did outbound travel increased year by year. Meanwhile, the income levels of Shanghai residents were higher and higher. Either from the travel intention or from the ability to travel, Shanghai residents should be target group of outbound tourism market. Based on such background, this study took the Shanghai residents as the case to research on influencing factors of outbound tourism.This study aims to develop the research on influencing factors of outbound tourism, which tries to make the conclusion meaningful to marketing of outbound tourism trough empirical analysis. Based on the practice of outbound tourism, this study got data from statistics on outbound tourism market, which is in order to the truth and reliability of the research. In the situation that outbound tourism market develops very well, this study did research on kinds of influencing factors on outbound tourism systematically and made the mastery of different extents about the factors' impacts on residents' outbound tourism.This study constructed theory model of influencing factors on outbound tourism, which analyzed factors both from market environment and from the residents themselves. As regards to level of market environment, factors were attributed into three kinds (economic factor, supporting factor and culture factor). The "economic factor" is relative to economic requirement, which means the ability and possibility of outbound tourism for Shanghai residents. The "supporting factors" includes different items which support t operation of outbound tourism (Destination, Policy, Information, transportation, infrastructure, human resources, and enterprise). The outbound tourism would never realize without any of these items. The "culture factor" refers to the culture background of residents. When it comes to demographic factors, the characteristics of the residents (age, education background, income, etc) were studied.Trough tempirical research on influencing factors of outbound tourism, this study implied that the factors have different effects on outbound tourism of Shanghai. For the limitation of factor identity and data collection, this study should be improved. |
