The tourism industry has been accounting for an increasing proportion of the economic development of China.The outbound tourism industry,as one of the important pillars of the tourism industry,has also entered the stage of rapid development.The statistical data has shown that China has been the largest group of international tourists in the world for two consecutive years,and has played an important role in the international tourism market.Inconsistent with such rapid development of China outbound tourism,the researches in this regard are still in the initial stage,let alone those on the decision-making behaviors and the destination selection of the tourists.Taking Shenyang citizens the research object,this study was made from the perspective of the preference of tourists and potential tourists for outbound tourism destination selection,and was aimed to explore the influencing factors for the outbound tourism destination selection of Shenyang citizens through the empirical research,thus to enrich the research results in this field.The questionnaire survey was made on Shenyang citizens,and SPSS19.0 was used to analyze the obtained data.Through the variance analysis on the type of the outbound tourism destinations and the evaluation of tourist motivation,the differences in the preference of the outbound tourists with different demographic characteristics for destination selection and tourist motivation were figured out.The factor analysis was made on the eight factors that influenced the destination selection,including the environment factor,attraction factor,personal factor,cost factor,perception factor,cultural space factor,facility factor and policy and economy factor.Taking the eight factors as the independent variables,the regression analysis was made on the relationship between these influencing factors and the decision-making information of the tourists.Finally,the differences in the preference of Shenyang citizens for the destination selection were figured out in the empirical research,based on which the corresponding suggestions were proposed.Specifically,the tourism enterprises should strengthen the market research,conduct market segmentation,diversify the outbound tourism market products according to the demographic characteristics,and provide more high-quality services for customers with different demands.At the same time,they should enhance the public praises for the services and establish network information platform to promote information transfer.On the macro perspective,the government departments were suggested to strengthen the supervision and the administration over the outbound tourism market,so as to develop the outbound tourism market healthily and orderly.
