General Agreement on Trade in Services (GATS) is an important part of World Trade Organization (WTO), whose aim is to realize free trade of services by expanding the market access of services industry. Finance industry in China was fully opened out in December 11, 2006. Lowering the threshold of financial market access and expanding the market access of foreign investment to finance industry will heavily affect the finance industry development in our country. By analyzing the influence of expanding the market access of foreign investment in the form of commercial presence on finance industry in developing countries under GATS, this paper analyses the influence of expanding market access on finance industry in our country with the method of econometrics, and then proposes some suggestions for its development.
