Modern Conversion. Qi Qiao Cultural Resources

In this paper, the thesis select a village in Guangzhou which is economic development frontier city in our country as a place to investigate, through research to the village culture Qiqiao Festival as the center, and analysis of it as a cultural resource by various social forces to the process of capitalization, with a view to discuss the intangible cultural heritage protection and inheritance in the modern context. The article divided into the following sections:The first chapter are from the natural ecological environment, village organization, economic structure, holiday narrative system and villagers belief space to describe the cultural environment in Zhu village, with a view to understand more detailed about the spatial and temporal profile which the Qiqiao Festival can develop in Zhu village.The second chapter are from the vertical angle to straighten out the the history of the development of the Qiqiao Festival in Zhu village, namely looking for the roots. This part is form the history of the "Doll Festival" to recount, through the historical documents proved the Qiqiao was originated from the Central Plains ,after spreading in the Lingnan region, the holiday is still maintaining its strong vitality, and then describe its "the Guangdong people pay attention to the Tanabata Star Festival, the lights and fires are lighting from night to dawn " the lively scene, and then describe the process of the Qiqiao Festival was risen,interrupted and re-established.The third and fourth chapters are from horizontal angle to describe the traditional and modern forms of the Qiqiao Festival. According to the memories of the old people in the Zhu village, and reappear its specific form in Ming and Qing Dynasty. Refer to the activities of the previous Qiqiao Festival, it can show the modern transformation process of the Qiqiao Festival was from a village folk to the Culture Festival.The fifth chapter is from the theoretical aspect to analysis the cultural resource capitalization process, the peopleintellectuals and government how they play its role in this process as well as the return to public life after the reaction.The conclusion of the article will summarize the contents of the above five chapters, then describe and analysis that how the intangible cultural heritage play a role in modernization, how to come from the people, and give back to the people.
