Folk intangible cultural heritages, represented by folk activities and folk events, have various forms of expression and unique cultural space. They play a irreplaceable role in preserving and showing the geographical characteristics, regional culture and folk customs. However, with the Internet breaking the boundaries and pop culture invasing, cultural expression are becoming fragile, which relys on the specific region and humanity. Therefore, good protection and development of folk intangible cultural heritages based on retention and protection of cultural diversity becomes an important and realistic topic.This paper researched on digital protection of folk intangible cultural heritage by method of application example, taking knowledge visualization, information space, virtual reality and experience economy as the theoretical basis. On the premise of expliciting the related concepts involved in the research on the digital protection of folk intangible cultural heritage, followed by the introduction of discussing the necessity and importance of the research on digital protection of folk intangible cultural heritage, the contrast analysis about four kinds of tourism development pattern of the intangible cultural heritage, modes and characteristics of digital protection of folk intangible cultural heritage, the existing problems of digital protection of folk intangible cultural heritage, fully expounded the status of folk intangible cultural heritage digital protection. Based on understanding the status of folk intangible cultural heritage digital protection, put forward from the classifying, collecting, expressing, spreading, protecting and inheriting to improve the digital protection of folk cultural heritage. At last, taking Quanzhou HuiAn women clothing as the example, carried out demonstration research on folk intangible cultural heritage digital protection.
