The Epcm Management Mode In Ultra-deep Optical Projects

Modern project management is originated from 1950s of 20th century, with the development of society, project management had been improving and updating. As the China's joining WTO and its further improvement of Socialist Marketing Economics, Chinese traditional project mode is unable to adapt current construction market. Some new style of international management mode such as: EPC, EPCM, BOT, PCM, etc , infiltrate into China. How to manage these mode's operation in Chinese construction market, as well as adjust current Chinese existing project management mode become an crucial significant task.EPCM(Engineering procurement construction management) project management mode is consist of Design, Procurement, Construction contractor, which means contractor is responsible for the project design and procurement, as well as construction management. Contractor sign a contract with client, also engages in design, procurement and construction management task and take responsible for all the progress and quality of project. EPCM is a common management mode in international construction market. EPCM has a high requirement for contractor's comprehensive capability, technology, management level, and most of Chinese corporations have a certain distance to international project management, technical innovation, IT construction, thereby EPCM management mode hasn't become popular in China. This article analyze and compare EMPC project management mode with Chinese traditional project management through studying and researching of EPCM project management theoretical system, character and executive method, as well as EPCM's successfully using in Shengchaoguangdian project, demonstrating the possibility of EPCM mode using in Chinese project, which completes the Chinese project management theoretical system, to find a high efficient and low cost project management mode which also fit for Chinese situation.
