International Competitiveness Of China's Electronic Information Industry Evaluation

Electronic information industry is a capital-intensive, technology-intensive and labor-intensive industry. It is of high degree value-added and correlation, and has a far-reaching impact on China's economic development, on high employing rating, on the upgrading of related industries and the raising of people's living standards. With China's accession to the WTO, economic globalization and trade liberalization, China's electronic information industry favors an unprecedented development opportunities, but also faces huge challenges. The fierce international competition determines that China must improve the competitiveness of its electronic information industry.This article first analyses the overall status and the main problems of China's electronic information industry. In the following, the main theories of industry international competitiveness are studied, which lay a theoretical foundation for further analysis. Then, an evaluation model by 16 indicators of demonstration indicators and analytical s indicators is established. The calculated demonstration indicators are mainly by import and export data, which in turn are using to analyse and compare the ability of main electronic information industry countries and regions by demonstration indicators. Based on this, the combination of analytical indicators make factor analyzed for three types of products (computer products, telecommunications products and IC products) of major countries or areas by SPSS software. In this way, the score and rank of three kinds of products in these countries and the eareas are clear. By making a comparative analysis, we find out the reasons of the comparatively weakness of China's electronic information industry. Thus, the strategy to enhance China's electronic information industry is selected.
