The Project Cost Of Quality Analysis And Control Method

Analysis and control of enterprise quality cost are the very important researching content of modern quality management, and they are also effective measures to lower the failure cost and upper the performance. With the promotion and application of the project management in our country, it has expended from project construction to the field of real estate, IT and finance, and is now generating into every other aspects of the economy. How to effectively reduce the failures or accidents appearing in different stages of project management, and make sure the project achieve its expected goal with high quality, relating to the success and failure of a project. This paper will introduce quality cost analysis into the project cost management. It defines the project quality cost as paying expenses which is used to assure the project's general goal and quality goals in different stages. And it also included the visible and invisible wastes caused by unsatisfied qualities. It conducted a systematically analysis on project quality cost.Based on researching related materials of both home and aboard, and using quality cost analysis and controlling chart in modern quality management as theoretical background, this paper has systematically studied the methods of analysis and control the project quality cost. Firstly, through the analysis of nowadays' research on quality cost and its model, this paper has given out a definition of project quality, and divided it into project prevention cost, project identification cost and project failure cost. Among this three, the project failure cost is the key of control the project quality. In order to effectively carry out the control of project failure cost, this paper used the Pareto chart, cause and effect diagram, etc, to screen the key quality cost elements in different stages, and pick up corresponding key failure factors. By using quality curve analysis, this paper has analyzed the economy of project quality cost. And by using the principle of direct control chart, directing towards key quality factors of different stages of the project, this paper has constructed a direct control chart which is applicable for different stages of quality cost control. In order to control the overall quality cost of the project, this paper has used the key factors of project quality cost to establish a control chart of the overall quality cost of the project, and conducted a controlling analysis on it. Finally, this paper took WG's construction project case as an example, and provided a possible project quality cost analysis and control of it.The distinguished feature and innovation of this paper lies in:①defined the project quality cost as paying expenses which is used to assure the project's general goal and quality goals in different stages, and it also included the visible and invisible wastes caused by unsatisfied qualities. This definition has settled the foundation of analysis of project quality cost in this paper;②made sure the factors of key quality cost control in different stages of a project by using Pareto chart and cause and effect diagram;③respectively formed the direct control charts of different stages quality cost and overall quality cost of a project, in order to control the project quality cost.This paper has introduced quality cost analysis into the project cost management, and provided a workable way of analyzing and controlling project quality cost. The research of this paper is applicable for not only the analysis and control of a project's different stages of quality cost, but also its overall quality cost.
