Foreign direct investment has made a significant contribution to the development of economy of Jiangsu Province for years,with attracting more and more large scale of FDI,people's understanding of foreign capital is gradually expanding.With the rapid development of economic globalization,people are also aware of the importance of responsible globalization.The relationship between the environmental pollution and foreign direct investment which has been the important mode of economic globalization attracts much more attention.The thesis sums up the state of development of foreign direct investment and the environmental pollution of Jiangsu province and the regulations of environment,and then uses the data of FDI and industrial waste water and industrial solid waste in Jiangsu province from 1987 to 2008,to analyze the situations of foreign capital utilization and environmental pollution,this context adopting Linear Regression to estimate their relation,analyzing the long-term relation by the means of Cointegration test and Granger,and researching cause and effect between them.And in the end,basing on the result of demonstration research and theory analyze relation between FDI and environment Pollution,FDI and environment regulations,the thesis gives some suggestion on the Policy for the government when constricting the Policy. First,statistic and analyze the actuality of Jiangsu Province,then to summarize and analyze the condition formation and development accordingly. Secondly,I use foreign direct investment as the explained variable and the major factor which affects foreign direct investment such as the environmental regulations as the explanatory variable to,the thesis analyze the effect of foreign direct investment with the environmental regulations through setting up linear regression model.This article examines interactions of foreign direct investment and the environment pollution the using the ADF test, cointegration test.In the end,based on the analysis,the thesis proposes some measures and advice for the foreign policies and environmental protection,and then pointed out the shortages of this thesis.
