Based on the global warming and China's great pressure of reducing carbon emissions, this paper aims to roads to low-carbon or reducing carbon emission in China's agriculture. After review of some relating concepts including nature agriculture, oil agriculture as well as alternative agriculture, this paper made a first understanding of low-carbon agriculture. With considering the viability and necessity of reductions in carbon emissions in agriculture, it studied the practical experience of some of the developed counties. And then it made some kind of deep consideration in the implication of low-carbon agriculture, against the background of China's situation and condition today. The developed countries experience shows that the low-carbon developing of agriculture need some good technical system, management system and so on as its sustention. And the agricultural carbon trade would have the basis of standard system, or some other existed carbon trade market.Based on the discussion of China's current situation and the western experience, the low-carbon developing of agriculture in China can be understood in two aspects. One is to counteract the oil tradition in agriculture, which means to make oil transformation more reasonable and effective. And the other is to build a agriculture carbon trade market in long term, and use the vast force of market to help boost the low-carbon agriculture.Though there are some basic conditions for China to develop low-carbon agriculture, there are, in the same time, several aspects of barriers. Firstly, The contradiction of too many people with few land, the situation of more and more land is allow to lie fallow, and the problem of "empty rural area" etc. have upgraded the food security pressure in China, and further more make the low-carbon agriculture to be questioned, since compared with oil agriculture, low-carbon agriculture is thought less productive. Secondly, the rural education system and agriculture service system in our country are incomplete, uncoordinated, and confused to some extent. This respectively leads to wasting and low efficiency. These not only lead to high carbon emission, more importantly, these turn out to be huge barriers to extension of new technology, management and other actions of low-carbon agriculture development. Besides, about the building of agriculture carbon trade market, China has quite litter accumulate experience. Since there very big difference between China's actual conditions and western countries, their experience can't be borrowed easily. Thus it would be a quite difficult and long way for China to develop agriculture carbon trade.Given all that, it is believed that currently China's low-carbon agriculture roads would include three aspects. The first one is to remove unreasonable part of the existed oil agriculture; the second one is to promote development of environmental-friendly alternative agriculture consistently; the third one is to research and build China's agriculture carbon standard system, and focus on the building of carbon market.
