Dongfang Electric Automatic Control Of The Company's Wind Power Industry Development Strategy Research

To keep pace with the domestic and overseas economic development, and serve the overall development of Sichuan Dongfang Electric Automation Engineering Company (DEA), this thesis focuses on the wind power industry which is one of the company's major businesses in resent years. Based on our research on the development strategy of DEA's wind power industry, we hope to lead the development of DEA's overall business, guide the management of DEA in the next few years. After collecting and analyzing the abundant amounts of information about wind power industry, we launch further research following three basic stages of enterprise development strategy, i.e., environmental analysis, strategy formulation and strategy implementation.Concretely, first we investigate the internal and external environments of DEA's wind power industry in width and depth. Then we formulate the strategic plans through the Strength (S), Weakness (W), Opportunities (O) and Threat (T) of DEA's wind power industry. Next, the formulation and implementation of the strategy need constantly adjusted and perfected. Therefore, comparison and analysis the various strategic theories are the first step, which is the first choice of companies to develop strategies. The evolution of enterprise strategy theory is from the early tradition of strategic through the modern competitive strategy to the dynamic theory of competitive strategy. Learning from the related views of design school, different strategic analysis methods like PEST analysis, SWOT analysis and Porter's five forces are used for the strategy planning. Then we elaborate the executive points using the modern strategic ideas like Blue Ocean and Smiling Curve strategy. The future development goals of DEA is to be one of the biggest automatic control products supplier of generating equipment, to become the industry leader in the scale and benefits in the next five years. We investigate on the most promising wind power business, which was of great significance for the company's general goals and other business'strategy implementation.
