Over the past decade, many big companies went bankrupt frequently, then the financial crisis broke out, SMEs went fai lure col lectively and so on. Under the background, this paper assesses the risk assessment demands of Chinese enterprises against the risk management of the current businesses and enterprises whose developmentis at an early stage, then des i gns a comprehensive, complete and simple and easy risk assessment process. Applying the process, most of the Chinese enterprises can carry out risk assessment well. It dose not need too much experience or data and not too many experts, so better for enterprises to engage in risk management, help enterprises realize the importance of the risk management, finally strengthen their ability of risk assessment.The paper studied the resent theories and practice of risk assessment firstly, then the paper analysis the demand of Chinese enterprises nowadays, finally summarized a simply and general process of risk assessment form exist theories and practice of risk assessment. Firstly, the paper elaborates the development of risk assessment of enterprises in theories and methods, helping enterprises to understand deeply concepts of risk in academic, and know the general methods as a start. Secondly, the paper describes the Status quo of risk assessment of Chinese enterprises, making a summary of the whole condition of risk assessment of Chinese enterprises at present, especially at two angles: the one is CE, the other is SME, fundamentally gives a judgment of demanding of Chinese enterprises'work of risk assessment. Thirdly, the paper comprehensives the requirements of relevant laws and regulations, the characteristics of technical methods and the needs of businesses, designing a comprehensive, complete and simple and easy risk assessment process.The results of this study provides an effective risk assessment process, even those Chinese enterprises who have lower level of management, lacking of experience or no risk assessment experiences can use it through simply studying. Through the application of the process, Chinese enterprises can carry out based risk assessment work, laying a foundation for prosecuting comprehensively the risk management of Chinese enterprises.
