ObjectiveTo observe the influence of series prescription of stroke based on syndrome differtiation on disorders of consciousness, the incidence rate of complications, disease severity and survival time of hospitalization and mortality of apoplexy patients with blockage syndrome. And we also assessed its value on clinical treatment of apoplexy patients with blockage syndromeare.MethodUsing method of retrospective study, totally 110 example cases of ICU of Guanganmen Hospital, dated from January 1,2005 to February 28,2011. And all the cases meet the diagnostic criteria of blockage syndrome of apoplexy.110 patients were divided into the treatment group with 53 patients and the control group with 57 patients. The treatment group were offered series prescription of stroke (once per day) based upon rountine treatment, while the control group received routine treatment only. GCS score, APACHEⅡscore, the number and score of stroke associated pneumonia and intestinal dysfunction, before treatment and 7 days after treatment,14 days mortality, the average time of survival and death patients in the ICU are selected as the main observing indexes for clinical effcts.Results1 GCS scores:The GCS score of the treatment group and control group after treatment was higher than those before, and there was statistical difference(P<0.05); Both groups were improved on the GCS score, and treatment group was bettr than control group (P< 0.01). After treatment, the number of patient with the extremely severe disorders of consciousness in treatment groups was lesser than those in Control Group.2 The incidence rate and severity of Complications:After treatment, the number of Stroke associated pneumonia had no differences between the treatment group and the control group, whie the number of intestinal dysfunction had significant statistical difference (PO.05). Compared with the Control Group, the score of Stroke associated pneumonia and intestinal dysfunction descended obviously in the treatment Group(P<0.05). Both groups were improved on the severity of complications, and treatment group was better than control group.3 APACHEⅡ:The APACHEⅡscore of the treatment group and control group after treatment was lower than those before.Compared with before treatment, APACHEⅡscore descend obviously in the treatment group(P< 0.01) while there was no significant difference in the control group. The score of APACHEⅡin control group was higher than those in treatment groups, and there was singnificant statistical difference (P<0.01). Compared with the control group, the treatment group can improve more in the severity of patients.4 The survival time of hospitalization in ICU:The survival time of death patients in the ICU in the Treatment Group was longer than that in Control Group(P< 0.01),and the time of survival patients in the ICU in the treatment group was.shorter than that in control group(P< 0.01).5 The Mortality:After treatment, the number of death was 12 cases in the treatment group, and thera was 25 cases in the control group.Lower 14 days mortality are observed in Treatment Group, compared with that of Control Group(P<0.05).ConclusionSeries prescription of stroke treatment based on syndrome differtiation can improve disorders of consciousness of apoplexy patient with blockage syndrome, reduce the number of intestinal dysfunction of them, improve severity of stroke associated pneumonia and intestinal dysfunction, reduce the severity of apoplexy patient, decrease the mortality of patients, and shorten the patients'time of hospitalization in the ICU.
