As a crystallization of wisdom of the Chinese Nation, Chinese Traditional Herbal Medicine have an advantage in treatment of disease. Their anti-tumor activity is recognized by many people in the world. It is an important way that give full play to rich in Chinese Traditional Herbal Medicine and find new type anti-tumor drug from them.The nourishment for the form and growth of tumor is supplied by the new tiny blood vessel. If the form and growth of new tiny blood vessel around tumor is controlled, the tumor" growth can be controlled until its disappear. It was proved that the growth of new tiny blood vessel is dependent on Methionine aminopeptidase II, one kind of enzyme, which is short by MetAPZ. If MetAPZ is controlled effectively, the growth of tumor then can be controlled. The Matter that can controll MetAPZ will probably be a new type drug for anti-tumor.Robdosia serra (Maxim.) Hara is the anti-tumor Chinese Traditional Herbal Medicine in common use and it is proved to be of high curative effect during the long time usage. The new type anti-tumor activity components of it are studied in this dissertation.The ethanol extraction of Robdosia serra (Maxim.) Hara is separated by column separation method and the fractions are carried through activity assay according to MetAP2. It is die first time that components with high anti-tumor activity are found out from Robdosia serra (Maxim.) Hara. Their structure are analyzed by GC-MS. They are Hexadecanoic acid,Octadecanoic acid and Eicosanoic acid. These fraction's activity is dependent on cooperation of components. On the other way, three kind of cholesterol are found out die first time. They are 23 S- methylcholesterol, (E)-23-ethylcholesta-5,22-dien-3.beta.-ol and (23S>ethylcliolest-5-en-3.beta.-oL The Eicosanoic acid also is found out the first time.These achievements produce proof to spread the application and development of Robdosia serra (Maxim.) Hara.
