The traditional Chinese medical prescription "Naogengtong"(NGT) has good treatment response at acute cerebral infarction(ACI). Which was proved in the past investigation, and "NGT" has anti-Lipid peroxidation, anti-blood platelet activating, accommodate immunological function .In order to explore the medicine working mechanism. We observed "Naogengtong" effect on plasma nitric oxide (NO) leukocyte adhesion molecule (LAM) this investigation. Observed the level of sick side brain blood-oxygen metabolism in acute cerebral patient and the changes after medical treatment by using near infrared spectroscope(NIRS). The acute regional cerebral ischemia model Rat were made by using intravascalar ligation to block the right side middle cerebral artery. To observe NGT 's effect on acute experimental cerebral infarction and above-mentioned factors, to do correlative and multiple research. Offer objective basis to NGT on treat acute cerebral infarction in clinic.Clinical research: 60 cases of acute cerebral infarction patients were divided to 2groups on random. One is "NGT" treatment group, the other is "Naoxuekang"(NXK) comparision group. NGT group was treated by NGT 20ml Tid 4week a course; NXK group was treated by NXK 20ml Tid 4week a course. Result: NGT group mainly curing ratio and total effective ratio were 43.33% and 83.33% while NXT group were 33.33% and 80%. NGT group were better than NXK group but No significant difference (P>0.05). Nerve function deficiency count decreased, quality of life count increased significantly after treatment in both groups (P<0.01). No significant difference between 2 group (P>0.05). Symptom count decreased significantly in both group, (P<0.05,P<0.01) and NGT group changed more obviously than NXK group (P<0.05).In NGT group the express of plasma nitric oxide and CD116 decreased significantly after treatment (P<0.05). while which had no change in NXT group. The oxyhemoglobin (HB.O2) total hemoglobin (HB.T) and total hemoglobin index (THI) of sick side brain increased significantly after treatment in both group. THI increased more obviously in NGT group than in NXK group (P<0.01). The oxygen saturation (SaO2) increased significantly after treatment in NGT group (P<0.05) while which had no change in NXK group.Experiment research: 70 secondary wistar male Rat. were divided to pretended operation group﹑model group﹑NGT group (NGT 1ml/100gï¹'d)﹑NXK group (NXK 1ml/100gï¹'d) on random. Model group﹑NGT group and NXK group were divided 4 hours and 24 hours phases group after middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO).The acute regional cerebral ischemia modle rats.were made by using intravascalar ligation to block the right side middle cerebral artery .Recult:4 hours after MCAO the level of NO in plasma and brain increased in NGT group.Comparised with pretended operation group P>0.05,24 hours after MCAO,the level of NO in plasma and brain increased in NGT group.Comparised with modle group P<0.05,comparised with 4 hours phase and 24 hours phase.The increased NO had obviously meaning (P<0.05).There are NO same changes in NXK group.The CD11b in both 4 hours and 24 hours phase.expressed lower in NGT group than in modle group(P<0.05,P<0.01),which closed to pretended operation group;Only at 4 hours phase,the express of CD11b lower in NXK group,than in modle group(P<0.01),while which in creased significantly at 24 hours phase (P<0.05),comparised with pretended openation group,which increased significantly (P<0.05).The brain HB.O2 and HB.T increased significantly at 4 hours and 24 hours phase in both NGT group and NXK group(P<0.05,P<0.01),especially at 24 hours phase in NGT group.comparised SaO2 at both 4 hours and 24 hours phase only NGT group increased significantly (P<0.05).Conclusion:As a compound prescription NGT has good effect at theraphy acute cerebral infarction in clinic.If can decrease never function count,increaso quality of life counts significantly,especially improve patient's symptom count.The possible mechanism are:(1)adjust the synthesis of NO,promote the ynthesis of NO at earl...
