Mu Points-specific Pathway For Heart Feishu Fluorescent Double Labeling Study

The purpose of this study is to explore the morphological connective pathways between heart (lung) and its Shu-and Mu-acupoints, and to explore the morphological base of chest Qi-jie,Which is to improve acupuncture.From literature review, the following concludes were made:1) The Shu-and Mu-acupoints have close relations to its viscera. Chest Qi-jie contains Shu-and Mu-acupoints .And Shu-and Mu-acupoints can treat diseases of its viscera, and adjust its function.2) The development of research has confirmed that the information from the surface of body and viscera reaches the same Dorsal root ganglia (DRG), which proves the end of the some nerve cells in DRG have branches, one reaches the surface of the body, the other reaches viscera. Method: Experiment one: Thirty wister rats, weighing 200-250g, were divided into "Feishu—Lung", "Zhongfu—Lung" and "Feishu—Zhongfu" groups.5% Propidium Iodide(PI) was separately injected into the acupoint areas .After 36 hours, 10% Bisbenzimide (Bb) was injected into lung following thoractomy under anesthesia in each group. After surviving for 12 hours, the rats were infused with saline and 4% paraformaldehyde phosphate buffer solution respectively, followed by taking out the spinal DRG to be cut into section (40μm thick).Under microscope, the labeled neurons were determined. Experiment two: Thirty wister rats, weighing 200-250g, were divided into "Xinshu—Heart","Juque—Heart"and "Xinshu—Juque" groups. The procession is as same as experiment one.Results: 1)The mono-labeled neurons of "Feishu" and lung were located in the ganglions of T1 —T5 and with T3 being predominant. The doubly labeled neurons were located in the ganglions of T1 —T5 and with T3 being predominant. The mono-labeled neurons of "Zhongfu" were located in the ganglions of C7—T5 and the doubly labeled neurons were located in the ganglions of T1 —T5 and also with T3 being predominant. So there are close relations among "Feishu" and "Zhongfu" and lung .2) The mono-labeled neurons of "Xinshu" and heart were located in the ganglions of T1—T6 and T2—T5 ,with T5 being predominant. The doubly labeled neurons were located in the ganglions of T2 —T5 and with T5 being predominant. The mono-labeled neurons of "Juque" were located in the ganglions of T1—T7 and the doubly labeled neurons were located in the ganglions of T2 —T5 and also with T5 being predominant. So there are close relations among "Xinshu" and "Juque" and heart.Conclusions: 1)The information from the surface of body and viscera reaches the same Dorsal root ganglia (DRG).The DRG is the morphological base for Shu-and Mu-acupoints.2) Chest Qi-jie contains Shu-and Mu-acupoints . The same or similar nerve part is one of the morphological base for Chest Qi-jie.
