Objective: To probe into the mechanism of Yi Shen Hua Zhuo (YSHZ) Injection delaying chronic renal failure (CRF) progression on CRF rats. Method: Established CRF, model by five-sixths nephrectomy on SD rats, and divided these CRF rats into groups. Treated the groups with different dose of YSHZ through intraperitoneal injection and Lotensin through tube feeding for comparison. Observed the influence of these different medicines on the following parameters: blood urea nitrogen (BUN), serum creatinine(Scr), triglycerides(TG), total cholesterol (TC), high density lipoprotein-cholesterol(HDL-C), kidney weight/body weight(WK/We ), kidney content of interleukin-l(IL-l), interleukin-8(IL-8), tumor necrosis factor(TNF). Results: It showed that YSHZ Injection could obviously decrease BUN(p<0.01), Scr(p<0.01), TG(p<0.01), TC(p<0.05)> WK/WB(p<0.05),increaseHDL-C(p<0.01), reduce IL-1(p<0.05) IL-8(p<0.05), TNF(p<0.05) in the kidney remainder. At the same time, it presents some certain quantity-effect dependant relations. Conclusion: It is suggested that YSHZ Injection could delay CRF progression by regulating lipid metabolism ,decreasing kidney content of inflammation factors such as IL- K IL-8 - TNF, inhibiting these inflammation factors damaging the kidney.
