More than 25 compounds were isolated from dry sorophore of Cordyceps militaris L. er. Fr. By means of both solvents extraction and phasechromatography, on the basis of physico-chemical properties and spectral data , 19 of these constituents in this species were identified as follows: tetracosanoic ethyl ester(1), tetracosanoic methyl ester(2), stearic acid(3), 4-6,8(14),22(23)-tetraen-3-one-ergostane (4), 7 (8) ,24 (28) -dien-3-ol-4-methyl-(3 β ,4 α ,5α ) -stigmastane (5), tetracosanoic glycerol ester(6),ergosterol (7), ergosterol peroxide(8), N-hydroxyethyl tearamide (9), 7 (8) , 22(23)-dien-3, 5, 6-triol-ergostane(10), cordycepin (11), adenosine(12), N6-hydroxyethyl adenosine(13), D-mannitol (14), alanine, valine, leucine, isoleucine, glucine.Compound 13 was new . Compound 1, 2,3,4, 5,6, 8,10 and five amino acids were isolated from this genus for the first time, some of the mistakes of 'H assignment occurred in the literatures of compound cordycepin and adenosine were properly corrected by means of 1H-1HCOSY and HMQC spectra.
