Objectives:To survey the dietary and nutritional status of pregnant women in Changsha city Hunan province and measure the newborn trace element, determine the effects of the dietary and nutritional factors on the newborn trace element,in order to help pregnant woman to take balanced diet and rational nutrition.Subjects and Methods:176 case of pregnant women during their third trimester were chosen randomly, who have periodical examination and will parturition in our hospital, adopting detailed questionnaire, physical examinations and laboratory tests. Finally, we used Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ) table, to analyze and calculate the average amount of calories and nutritious the woman had got every day. We used the way of linear correlation to analysis the relationship between pregnant women and the newborn trace element. While we used the way of Non-condition logistic tropic analysis to describe the affecting factors which were related to the newborn trace element and which were related to anaemia of the woman.Results:①The proportion of low birth weight was 3.41% and the proportion of Large birth weight-giant was 9.10%, there were not significant difference between city and rural areas(p>0.05).②Significant correlation was found between maternal and newborn blood zinc, iron, calcium(p<0.01).③The dietary and nutritional status of pregnant women affected newborn trace element. If the pregnant women intakes of more milk, milk products, soya and soya products, the consistence of calcium in newborn serum will be rised. Intakes of more milk, milk products, fish, shrimp, shellfish, the consistence of Zn in newborn serum will be rised. But superfluous cereal will the consistence of Zn in newborn serum will fall. Intakes of more milk, milk products, soya, soya products, milk, milk products, soya and soya products, fish, shrimp or shellfish, the consistence of Fe in newborn serum will be rised.④Analyzing the affecting factors which are related to anaemia in the way of non-condition logistic tropic analysis, showed that raising income and reinforcing VitC and Fe that the pregnant women intakes of, will cut down rate of iron deficient anaemia.⑤There were so many pregnant women who were limited in Dietary and nutritional knowledge, and there were not significant difference between city and rural areas(p>0.05).Conclusion:①The dietary and nutritional status of pregnant women affected newborn trace element. If the pregnant women intakes of more food that contains rich Ca,Fe,Zn, will increase the trace element content of newborn.②The intake of more VitC would help the absorption of Fe, and cut down rate of iron deficient anaemia.③The misconception about Dietary and nutritional knowledge, effect pregnant woman's nutrition and would induce the lack of trace element of newborn.
