ObjectiveTo study the effects of low frequency electromagnetic vibrationcomplicated function on (1) food intake and body weight and the weightsof retroperitoneal adipose tissue and paragenital adipose tissue; (2) thelevels of blood lipids (TC, TG,HDL,LDL), serum leptin and serum insulin, gonadal hormone(T,E2); To investigate the relationsheep between thelevels of serum leptin and insulin, between the levels of TC, TG, HDL,LDL and the body fat weight; To study the mechanism of obesity at the levelof central nerve system further and the future clinical therapy of lowfrequency electromagnetic vibration complicated function, thus providingprovide useful message and means of preventing and treating the obesity.Methods:1. Preparation of obese rat models: (1)Diet-induced rats:Weanling Wistarmale and femaile rats were randomly divided into two groups (the normalgroup and the obese group).Normal groups were given a standard diet andobese group were fed with a high-nutrition diet for 19 weeks. (2)VMH-lesion rat models: VMH-lesion induced by electrical stimulationventral to the anterior septum in the rat VMH;(3)Appendix cerebriobstructed rat models: injection of Pentobarbital 7.5mg/100g body weightin diet-induced rats per day on each experiment day.2. Administration: Rats were received an low frequency electromagneticvibration complicated stimulation one time per day for 15 days. On eachexperiment day, the body weight and food intake were measured before thefirst stimulation. Before sacrifice, the weights of retroperitonealadipose tissue and paragenital adipose tissue were measured.3. Blood lipids(TC, TG, HDL, LDL), serum insulin, T, E2 and leptinmeasurement: At the time of sacrifice, blood samples were collected fromcarotid arteryd after abdominal cavity anesthesia technique directly andcentrifuged at 3000rpm for 20 minutes. Serum was stored at 70℃.They weredetected by using the enzymolysis, radioimmunoassay respectively. Moreover, the relationships between the level of serum leptin and theconcentrations of serum insulin were analyzed.4. After diet-induced fat rats sacrifice, a same size adipose tissue weretaken in the same part specimen of paragenital adipose tissue and waspreserved in 10% Formaldehyde fluid, paraffin section, hematoxylin andAbstract 5eosin stain, then the whole campus visualis adipose cells were countedunder 400 times micro. The adipose cells'maximudiameter and minimudi-ameter were measured by eye piece micromete which was retieved by standardsubstant objective micrometer.Results:1 .During experimental process, the rats' weight was measured weekly. There were no differences between two groups before experiment. From thesecond week to the end, the body weight of the obese group all increasedmore significantly than that of the normal group. After 19 weeks, therewas a statistical difference between the obese group and the normalgroups.2. In diet-induced obese rats, the body weight and the food intake weredecreased more significantly after an low frequency electromagneticvibration complicated stimulation than before stimulation. However, inthe stimulated normal group, the changes in body weight and food intakebefore and after stimulation were not significant. The inhibition ofbody weight and food intake in VMH-lesion rats was not observed after thestimulation. However in Appendix cerebri obstructed rats, the effectswere observed after the stimulation.3. The weight of retroperitoneal adipose tissue in the groups, which wereadministrated with the stimulation, was significantly lower than in theobese control group; The weight of paragenital adipose tissue in thegroups with the stimulation also decreased significantly. Nevertheless, those normal and obese control groups did not change significantly.4. The levels of TC, TG and LDL in obese control group were higher thanthose of normal control group, the levels of HDL in obese control...
