.6 Turmeric, Lowering Blood Pressure And Blood Effect Strength Is A Comparative Study

Radix curcurnae is one of traditional Chinese medicine, widely used in clinic.In traditional effects,it has the function of activating blood and qi circulation, alleviating pain, alleviating depression, clearing away heart-fire, promoting the function of the gallbladder to alleviate jaundice and cooling blood.According to Chinese pharmacopoeia 2000 edition , there are four botanic origin of Radix curcumae: Curcuma longa L.(Huangsi yujin) , C.wenyujin Y. H. Chen et C. Ling, C. kwangsiensis S. G Lee et C. F. Liang(Gui yujin), C. phaeocaulis Val.(Lvsi yujin). In addition, there are aslo two local species : Curcuma longa L.cv.chuanyuji(Huangbaisi yujin), Curcuma phaeocaulis Val. cv. Sichuannensis(Baisi yujin).The reasearch focused on the difference of all these 6 varieties including the chemical element and pharmacological effect intensity. We estimated the effects of Radix curcumae on 6 parameters(TC, TG, HDL of blood serum, blood clotting time, low shear rate and high shear rate of the whole blood viscosity) and the curcumin content of them together,the results showed that:1.The curcumin content in 6 varieties of Radix curcumae are significantly different,except for Huangsi yujin and Huangbaisi yujin,there are little curcumin in the other four varieties.The ratio of the content of curcumin is,Huangsi yujin: Huangbaisi yujin: Lvsi yujin: Baisi yujin: Gui yujin: Wen jujin=100 : 63.8 : 0.69 : 0.45 : 0.41 : 0.36.2.The pharmacological effect intensity of these 6 samples are also significantly different. From high to low,the total scores of the 6 pharmacological parameters is,Huangsi yujin:Lvsi yujin:Huangbaisi yujin:Wen yujin:Gui yujin:Baisi yujin =440.6 : 435.3 : 370.9 : 352.9 : 255.5 : 247.2.3.Compare with pure curcumin, we proved that the pharmacological effect of Huangsi yujin was mainly based on the effects of curcumin in it, the contribution accounted for 94.72%,so curcumin as the active factor of the pharmacological effect...
