The Guangxi Nitidum Phytochemical Research

Plants which belong to Zanthoxylum genera are one kind of medical plants and have effects, such as, antibacterial, anticancer, cytotoxicity and anti-platelet etc. There are 250 sorts of the Zanthoxylum gerera in the tropical and subtropical areas of Asia, Africa, Oceanica, North America. There are thirty-nine sorts and fourteen variants in China. Its root, stem bark, fruit and leaf can be used as folk medicine. In Guangxi, the history of Zanthoxylum nitidum as medicine is long, but the researches on constituents of the hydro-soluble of Zanthoxylum nitidum var. fastuosum have not been reported. So we carry out a study on this part. An alkaloid (compound I) was isolated from the extract of chloroform of Zanthoxylum nitidum var. fastuosum, and was identified as liriodenine by spectroscopic analysis and X-ray. A flavonoid (compound II) and a flavanone glycoside (compound III) were isolated from hydroxy-soluble phase by Macroporous absorption Resin and silica gel column, and were identified as hespertin and neohesperidin by spectrum. The structure of compound II was elucidated based on various spectral methods, especially 2D-NMR. The spectrum of 1HNMR and 13CNMR were assigned by means of 2D-NMR for the first time. They have not been isolated from this plant before. It is the first time that we report the constituents of the volatile oil of Zanthoxylum nitidum var. fastuosum by technique of GC-MS. And twenty constituents have been identified, such as (-)-spathulenol, γ-elemene, isoaromadendrene epoxide, α-caryophyllenen, germaxrene D. We isolated the alkaloids of Zanthoxylum nitidum of Rongxian, from which chelerythrine and nitidine were found. We also have a test to the qualitative analysis about liriodenine, chelerythrine, nitidine in Zanthoxylum nitidum var. fastuosum and Zanthoxylum nitidum of Rongxian and Baise country.
