Objective: To compare the clinical efficacy of percutaneous reducti on with titanium Kirschner wires fixation and open reduction with plate fixation for calcaneal fractures. Methods: A retrospective analysis of 61 patients with Sanders type II and type ?calcaneal fractures treated i n our department from February 2016 to February 2019,including 31 c ases in the percutaneous and 30 cases in the incision groups. The study indicators of the two groups are hospitalization to operation time, oper ation time, intraoperative blood loss, hospitalization time, postoperative c omplications, morphology of the calcaneus before, after and at follow-up, excellent rate of AOFAS score at follow-up.Results: The time from ho spitalization to surgery, operation time, intraoperative blood loss, and ho spitalization time in the percutaneous group were significantly lower tha n those in the incision group. The differences were statistically significa nt(P<0.05).The Bohler angle and Gissane angle and the length, hei ght and width of the calcaneus were significantly improved in the two groups after operation, and there was no statistical difference(P>0.05).There was no statistical difference(P>0.05)in calcaneal morphology between the two groups at follow-up.The incidence of infection, flap n ecrosis, and total complications in the percutaneous group were significa ntly lower than those in the incision group, and the differences were sta tistically significant(P<0.05).There was no statistical difference(P>0.05)in the excellent and good rate of AOFAS between the two groups. Conclusions: Percutaneous pry reduction with titanium Kirschner wires f ixation for the treatment of calcaneal fractures has a significant effect, which can significantly improve the efficiency of surgery, reduce the incidence of postoperative complications, shorten the length of hospitalizatio n time, avoid the removal of internal fixations during secondary surgery, and is in line with modern minimally invasive treatment concepts.
